Top 25 Things on my Bucket List I know most of us have a list of things we want to do before we “kick the bucket.” Here are the top twenty-five things on my bucket list that I want to accomplish in my lifetime! Live in Italy. Travel across all of Europe with my family. Have 4 children (biological and/or adopted). Run a half marathon. Get to a healthy weight (and keep it there). Travel to all 50 states (I’m at 26 of 50). I’m looking forward to Hawaii, that’s for sure. Support my family by Blogging & Selling LipSense or LLR. Raise happy and healthy children. Get my RA under control. Become a published author. Have a library room in our home for the bazillion books I own. Buy an old card catalogue and restore it to it’s former glory. Travel with Tony to New Zealand and see where the Hobbit & Lord of the Rings were filmed. Convince Tony to get another pet (cat or dog). – This may be a tricky one, as Tony doesn’t really like animals, but I’ll work on him. Rent a cottage in Scotland for a month and write a book. Something like this. […]
I’ve been trying to blog for a long time, yet I never really seemed to get very far before stopping and realizing my blog wasn’t on what I wanted to write about. I think this was because I was never really blogging about things I loved. This time, when I started Lula Lips Love, I really thought about where I was in life, and what I wanted to write about. The three things that repeatedly came to mind were Clothes, Makeup & Family. Clothes I am a LuLaRoe consultant, so clothing is always at the forefront of my mind. Because of this, I decided that part of my blog name should be Lula. Once I had that piece in play, I chose to do an alliteration and make all the words in my title start with L. It just seemed appropriate to me, since I’m a Librarian, and words are important. Clothing has always been a passion of mine. I even went to school for fashion design at one point! Right now, I’m taking a small break from LuLaRoe as we’re planning on moving soon, and we don’t want to have to move ALL. THE. CLOTHES.In fact, in a post coming soon, I’m […]
If you’ve ever had a three year old, you know that they are a joy and a terror all at once. They are learning and growing so fast, that it’s hard for them to cope sometimes. My son is no different, and today was a sure sign of that. Going to Work with Mama Today, Aeneas came to work with me. It’s spring break at the university library I work at, and because of this, a fantastic time for me to work on projects that just can’t get done with students around. So, Aeneas had to come with me, on a day I normally stay at home with him. He loves it for the most part. Seeing all the books, what mama does, and getting to watch some shows on the computer. What more would a three year old want? Honestly, I feel bad about it when he has to come with me. I know I’m not able to give him the attention I’d normally give him when at home. Our morning started out great. He played with some legos while I was shifting/shelf reading the Reference Room, then moved onto “reading” some books, and playing with his dinosaurs (all while […]
Welcome! I am so excited to share a little glimpse into my world, who I am, and some of the great products I’ve found. We’ll start with a little bit about me, and my family – My name is Christina Daltoso, and I am a University Instruction & Reference Librarian, LuLaRoe Consultant, & LipSense Distributor. I love everything I do, and most of it never feels like work! Helping people feel beautiful no matter what size they are is something that drives me in what I do. I have been married for almost twelve years now, to an amazing man (Tony) who’s put up with my crazy, and loves me more then I ever thought possible. We have an incredible three year old, Aeneas, who is the most precious thing in our life, and makes us see things in a new light every day.
