If you live in the Walla Walla Valley area, you’ve probably heard of Misbehaven Spa & Salon. It’s at the corner of 4th Street and Poplar, near downtown Walla Walla. It’s located in a large brick building that used to be the town’s livery. If you don’t know what a livery is, here’s a little history lesson for you. A livery is a place where visitors would stable their horses overnight, or longer if necessary. This is one of the things I love about Walla Walla – with it being one of the oldest towns in Washington – it has incredibly old buildings that have a multitude of stories to tell.
At Misbehaven, there are thirty stylists and aestheticians, who do a variety of things from cutting hair, to nails and massage! It really is a one-stop shop for all your pampering needs. This morning I called to see if they had any openings for a haircut, and to my surprise, they did. I was able to get in with Mackenzie, and she is fantastic. Mackenzie is extremely knowledgable when it comes to her profession and the products she uses. I came in knowing I wanted to get bangs, but pretty open to anything else. She listened to what I wanted, and gave me an amazing haircut! Right now she’s giving all my readers 20% off if you mention my name! Run, run and go get your hair done! Treat yo’ self!
Misbehaven uses Kevin Murphy’s products, and let me tell you, they smelled amazing and my hair feels so soft after the hair treatment Mackenzie gave me. On his website, they call his line of hair care “Skincare for your hair, and all the products are created from micro cultivation, organic growing practices, or ecologically sound wild harvesting techniques to ensure they are of the very highest natural quality.” (Kevin Murphy’s Product website). They also have cute little mini bottles of these products, so you can try them out before buying a full-size bottle! It’s the perfect solution to finding out if you like the hair product or not. I really like the Shimmer Shine (makes your hair shimmer all while repairing your ends) and Session Spray (which if you know me, you know I don’t like hairspray, but this stuff is amazing)!
Not only does Misbehaven have fantastic hairstylists, but they also provide spa services. These include: massage, microdermabrasion, body exfoliation treatments, facials, and more. Mackenzie was nice enough to give me a tour of the entire salon & spa after my haircut, and the spa area is so serene. I will definitely be going to get a massage in the future!
Needless to say, I will be going back to Misbehaven Spa & Salon again. Everyone there was extremely nice, and I love the fact that they use organic, not tested on animal products, and their prices are comparable to most places in town! I highly recommend them, and can’t wait to try out their other services!
